Self-Service Recruiting: Sourcing High-Value Staff with Enterprise Video

Prinses Máxima Centrum is a pediatric oncology treatment and research center that integrates all complex cancer care, research and professional training for the entire country of the Netherlands into a single location. Today it’s the largest care center of its kind in Europe, but as a brand-new facility, the Prinses Máxima Centrum was faced with a nearly impossible launch deadline, requiring them to add close to 1,000 healthcare professionals to their staff—a 2600+ percent increase over the 36 existing employees.

Given limited resources, the organization decided to enlist all 36 current employees—oncology physicians, nurses, researchers, medical specialists and support staff—in sharing their stories and expertise. And to do that, Prinses Máxima Centrum provided these employees with the Qumu Enterprise Video platform to create and distribute authentic, self-created video narratives of the Center’s impressive team and their life-saving work to potential candidates. Through Prinses Maxima Centrum’s new video app, the organization has rapidly built a base of approximately 3,000 (non-employee) followers interested in the organization’s innovations in pediatric oncology.
