Caching and Relaying: Use Cases, Limitations and Alternatives

The error-free streaming of both live and on demand video is quickly becoming a requirement for the IT departments in many global organizations. Although a number of these companies leverage multicast network delivery for certain use cases, there are numerous limitations and downsides to this technology—not the least of which is that multicast cannot be used for most modern streaming methods.
