With enterprise video on the rise in the Middle East, we recently partnered with one of the United Arab Emirates’ leading network service suppliers, Ixtel, to bring Qumu solutions across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Ixtel recently invited us to join them at the 35th Gitex Technology Week exhibition in Dubai. At the conference we were able to meet with hundreds of businesses from around the Middle East and talk with them about their needs and interests when it came to using video communications and content management.
In addition, our man on the ground, Nigel Filer, took quite a bit of video and was able to upload it, real-time, to one of our cloud servers to share with the rest of us in London, Minnesota, California, Japan and beyond. He shared videos of Qumu demos, attendees and other Ixtel partners who were at the booth as well as a video of Rashi al Shamsi, the chairman of Ixtel being recognized by Forbes Middle East and cutting some delicious looking cake.
This puts into sharp relief the necessity of on-demand video in the global economy. The smartest companies are taking advantage of business opportunities no matter where they are or what time zone they are in. In order to keep a globally distributed workforce engaged and connected, you need to be able to give all of your employees the ability to both watch videos at whatever time they choose as well as to quickly create, edit and upload videos on the fly, to share with their fellow employees around the globe.
By using an enterprise video platform, your business will bring all of that functionality under one, centrally managed solution, so you can give all of your employees the power of video quickly and easily so they can have their cake and eat it too!
