According to a survey by the American Psychological Association, feeling valued is a key indicator of job performance. Employees who feel valued are more likely to be engaged in their work and feel satisfied and motivated. Employee Appreciation Day is coming up on March 6th, so we’ve put together a list of ways you can use video to show your employees that you appreciate them:
1) Accomplishment Highlight Video. Create a video presentation going over the high points and progress you’ve made over the past year or quarter, let your employees know that you notice their hard work and are proud of the accomplishments they have achieved, working together as a team.
2) Customer or Vendor Testimonial. Share a video from a client or complimentary vendor in which they talk about how much of a pleasure it is to work with the people in your organization.
3) Include Great Work in Regular Executive Communications. Many of the world’s business leaders record weekly or monthly updates to their employees. Make sure that your employees know it’s not just once a year that you appreciate them but all year long by including shout outs to great work in your video updates.
4) Spotlight Video. Have each manager or director highlight a specific employee who has gone above and beyond the call. This doesn’t necessarily have to be strictly business, you can call out people who always make the office brighter with their attitude or charity work.
Appreciating your employees for their hard work is an important element of having a productive and engaged workplace. Video makes it easy to show that appreciation to everyone in your organization, even if you’re in offices all over the country or the world, and create a culture at work. Using an enterprise video platform is a simple way to capture, edit, share and manage those videos from a centralized portal.
