With the rise of showrooming and other omni-channel trends in the retail industry, retailers are struggling to adapt to a sea change of consumer shopping behaviors. You might assume that these companies would be early adopters of mobile and video as tools to train their sales staff and respond to these disruptive challenges.
Not true, according to a recent Qumu survey of in-store sales associates.
In fact, while 94% of sales staff believe they would benefit from video as a training tool, almost two-thirds of them are trained by their managers and one-third are not trained at all. And over half are in the dark about their company’s strategy.
